Elbow River Residence

An avid art collector, host, and community engager this client came to us with a partial scope of work for a quick and dirty renovation of their family home, which was originally built at the turn of the century. During the discovery phase the client decided to maximize their timeline and this turned into a full scope renovation including all finishes & materials, re-designating space on their floor plan, partial furniture package and styling

There were parts of the home we left in their original condition - beautiful stained glass windows for instance tell such a beautiful story of this home that we all agreed they needed to stay. Going against what any rule book would advise to do, we removed a bedroom from the upstairs floor plan in order to give the client a master bedroom and ensuite which suits a modern lifestyle and the original floor plan was lacking. We opened up the master bedroom to accommodate a dressing room, enlarged ensuite and lounging area to offer a private living space for the client who hosts many guests.
