The District Lounge, an extension of the District Food Hall in Calgary’s Beltline, offers a unique opportunity to enjoy hand-crafted cocktails alongside a variety of chef-driven restaurants done food hall style.

Designed with an eclectic and modern style, we leveraged the darker tones from the Food Hall’s branding for a moodier atmosphere. Key design elements include a central bar that captures immediate attention, linear banquettes around the perimeter to encourage lingering, and striking back booths adorned with red pendant lights and playful wall coverings, perfect for social media moments.

The 1560 square-foot lounge was created to revitalize the Food Hall’s evening appeal, provide cohesion with the adjacent space, and offer flexibility for private events. The final design effectively addresses these needs, focusing on selective colour use, comfortable seating, and versatile lighting to enhance the guest experience.
