Killarney Residence

Set in Calgary’s leafy Killarney neighbourhood, this kitchen renovation trades grey + white basics for pure European drama. Our clients wanted something moody, masculine, and just a touch decadent – a space made for cocktails after dark and slow pasta dinners with friends.

We answered with a kitchen that commands attention in their open plan space. A Calacatta Monet marble backsplash sweeps beneath gold metal-panelled upper cabinets, where a hidden range and hood vent keep the surfaces gloriously clean. Espresso-stained white oak millwork and black countertops let the marble do the talking, while integrated hardware keeps everything sleek and seamless.

Layered, intentional details draw the eye: a rounded ball motif echoes through the pulls, lighting, curved island, and custom shelving accented with travertine spheres, softening all those confident straight lines. Warm white oak floors and small gold accents – hardware, a faucet, a knowing wink here and there – tie the whole space together with quiet luxury.

Chic, moody, and built to impress, the result is a contemporary kitchen that feels bold, sophisticated, and unapologetically them.
