A warm, neutral palette offers a cohesive, soothing sanctuary throughout the home. Time-honoured MCM design details permeate the kitchen design. This was achieved through various details, including the raised linear stiles in the warm-toned cabinetry to achieve clean, consistent lines throughout. Millwork was optimized to create practical, functional storage space for a growing family. Linear, geometric stacked tiles in a soft navy were paired with smaller white tiles and separated with a linear wood detail. A wall that had previously divided the kitchen and the dining room was removed to open up the floor plan and optimize the view and access to natural light to the large racked windows in the living room. Finishes remained simple and understated with modest ornamentation. The integration of contemporary open shelving, vintage furniture of the MCM era and playful accessories adds character and charm to this minimalist interior.
